Joe LeRoux Arrested by U.S. Marshal - Oklahoma Welcome Featured

William Joseph LeRoux Jr., owner of a Poteau web and e-commerce solution company was arrested today by a U.S. Marshal and booked into the LeFlore County Jail at 3:14p.m.

According to a LeFlore County detention officer, LeRoux is wanted in Maricopa County, Arizona. He is wanted for a total of 15 counts of sexual acts towards a minor.

The detention officer confirmed that Maricopa County wants LeRoux back in Arizona to face the following accusations of 12 counts of sexual contact with a minor in which each count is a felony and 3 counts of public sexual indecency in which each count is a class A misdemeanor.

LeRoux will be asked to sign a form to agree to be extradited back to the state of Arizona and if he refuses, Arizona will get a Governors warrant to bring him back against his will. If the warrant is needed it can take up to 90 days to obtain and LeRoux would remain in the LeFlore County Jail until that time. According to documentation, LeRoux is not eligible for bail.

When I was younger, I spent my days as a Paramedic.  I still love and respect the profession and try to stay involved in other areas of emergency management such as volunteer work or public information if needed.  

My next challenge in life took me to work at LeFlore Counties only daily newspaper as the Advertising Director then Publisher for more than a decade.  After leaving print media, I decided that Southeast Oklahoma needed digital news that they could rely on, therefore OKW was born.

I am a member of the Rotary Club, Currently in the process of joining the Oklahoma Medical Reserve Corps, I served three years on the LeFlore County Development Coalition board and three years on the Chamber of Commerce board.  I attend church at Cross Community in Poteau.  

I have 3 beautiful daughters - Miranda, Hailey and Mya, a very smart and handsome step son- Joe Ryan, and a wonderful son in law- Bobby who is also very smart and handsome.  OH... and I have a Great Dane named Xena who is a crazy spoiled dog.

    As far as I'm concerned, "karma is a bitch" . One can't represent themselves one way, and act another way in private. I do not know if he is guilty of this accusation, but I DO KNOW that he is/was a pompous ass and treated many nice "country bumpkins" with disdain and total disrespect. I do have sympathy for his family, but there is no one to blame but Joe himself. For those of you defending him, I say this "What Happens In The Dark Always Comes To Light "

    @EJ - I couldn't have said it better!! All the evangelistic posts from him make me gag!

    This is a man who also claimed to be in the porn industry, so the Hooters girls would send him naked shots of themselves, because he told them he could help them get their foot in the door. (came straight from a few Hooters girls' mouths)
    And to his children - yes - my heart goes out to you - but you have no one to blame for this embarrassment but him!!

    I wonder how Joe Le Roux likes all us "local yokals who are a bunch of country bumpkin pushovers" now lol

    Beth- When I worked for him I remember his going on and on about tearing down that house. I'm so sorry for your family.

    All I can say is there is a reason that when I quit working for him I got unemployment. Maybe he is innocent of these charges but I know first hand he isn't a good guy. The way he would talk about people, then turn around and kiss their butts was insane, not to mention the inappropriate things he would say to his staff.
    Getting others to pay his bills, charging insane amounts for work we were never allowed to finish so he could get paid. Telling us we might not get paid because of lack of funds, then posting all over facebook his new landscaping and barn, kitchen remodel, macbook or toy. Promising profit sharing, a 401k and health care to make up for a super low salary and never coming through on any of it. Calling screaming at all hours of the night to demand you get up and work on something he just thought up right that second. Knowing that he has to pay overtime because our salaries were so low and pretending he didn't as to avoid paying.
    So from my own first hand dealings with him all I can say is maybe there is a reason so many people are ready to call him guilty.
    This in no way reflects on his family, for them I am sorry, but he is the one who brought this on them. They are nice people and don't deserve to be hung out to dry for his mistakes.
    As for the person who made the comment about it's not children or it would be worded differently, in the end he is a married man who claims to be a man of God, 16 or 70 if he assaulted her then he deserves to be punished for his crimes. If he is innocent then maybe he needs to take this as God's warning to live a better life.

    I'm not in support or against Joe LeRoux. I do not have the facts to make that call at this time. I did not read that he had been convicted, so my understanding at this time is that he has been accused and arrested.. Time will tell. Please remember that he has children in school and a wife that will be deeply affected by this either way and they have committed no crime. Please choose your words carefully.

    @ Cynthia - WE PEOPLE are not responsible for "humiliating him, his family, and their business". I do believe Joe Le Roux did a good enough job doing that himself!!
    Just because we're discussing the topic, exchanging opinions (which IS our right btw), and sharing our own experiences of our own personal contact with this Creep doesn't make us bad people! Try CONCERNED PARENTS AND CITIZENS!!!! You have the right to defend him.. but the truth will end up making you look like just as big of an ass is he is!!
