Peachtree Hospice of Poteau is participating in White out Lung Cancer and are challenging other businesses in their shopping center to GO WHITE this November.

On November 15th, at Noon, Peachtree Hospice will be having a balloon release in honor of lung cancer awareness month.  Peachtree Hospice of Poteau invites all lung cancer survivors, family members who have lost a loved one to lung cancer and anyone who is currently battling lung cancer to attend this event.

Peachtree Hospice of Poteau is located at 3100 N. Broadway Poteau, OK 74953.  For more information please call 918-647-7008.

"I found out about the campaign through the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House," said Kari Jo Crabtree, Bereavement Coordinator Peachtree Hospice.

Lung cancer is the #1 cancer killer in the world killing more people every year than breast, colon and prostate cancers combined. And Fort Smith sits on the border between two of the top 10 states for both mortality and diagnosis. Fortunately, it is also highly preventable, which means that together we can make an impact!

Learn how on how your organization can get involved and raise awareness during November through the WHITE OUT LUNG CANCER 2012 campaign.  Please see attached media release and printable pledge cards from the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House in collaboration with the Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce Health Division.

Lung Cancer Awareness Month kicks off November 1st.  Please start sharing this information or link through email distribution lists, facebook, twitter and any other way you have access to share.
